Premil Petfood for dogs and cats

What started as a search for good kibble for our own dogs, ended up becoming the foundation for an import and distribution company for Premil Petfood.

After having tried several new brands of kibble and continuously being underwhelmed, I continued my search. I regularly saw Premil Petfood pop up in my search and was convinced by my foreign contacts and some other dogbreeders to try it out.

There was just one small problem. It was not yet available in The Netherlands. Of course, that didn’t stop me.
After having tried out this new dogfood, I was convinced that I should try and make it available for other dogowners in The Netherlands. A bunch of emails, preparations and other business issues later I am now at the point where I can proudly say that I’ve made Premil available for anyone in The Netherlands by becoming the official import company for it.

I hope this has sparked your interest and that you’re willing to have a look at my website: www.fetched.nl

UPC test

Today Fortuna of Laelaps had her UPC tested in preparation of her being covered.
We’re happy to announce her values were so low, they couldn’t be measured.

Making her UPC < 0,05.

International Dogshow Hazerswoude

After his success at the NBTC Open Clubshow in Leiden, Gawain of Laelaps (a.k.a. “Gooz”) was made Best Male today at the International Dogshow in Hazerswoude.
This earned him his first C.A.C. of hopefully many more to come!

On top of that, Genesis of Laelaps (a.k.a. “Patch”) was placed 1VG and Alice for Laelaps Marpetbull (a.k.a. “Zora”) was placed 2EXC, making this a succesfull show for us.

B.T.R.N. Young dog Day

Just like every year, the B.T.R.N. organises a Young dog Day in December.
Just like every year, some of our ‘newborns’ we shown there. Some even with success!

“Patch” was standing very nicely.
Gawain of Laelaps
“Ella” won her class.

We hope everyone enjoyed themselves today. Until next time!

International Clubmatch NBTC 2018

Last weekend was the International Weekend in Leiden, The Netherlands, organised by the NBTC.
On the Saturday there’s always the Open Clubmatch, which has a lot of entries.
Galahad of Laelaps, Genesis of Laelaps and Gawain of Laelaps all competed in the Minor Puppy Class, all scoring a judgment of Very Promising.
Gawain of Laelaps was chosen as winner in his class and later as Best Minor Puppy in Show!
Obviously we are very proud of this result and congratulate him and his owners.

Galahad of Laelaps looking for a new home.

We are looking for a new ‘forever’ family for Galahad of Laelaps, born 22nd of May 2018, due to a mismatch with his previous owners. He is a good boy, but will challenge you a lot. Therefore we are looking for an experienced person with a lot of time, without small children. Galahad has been taking part in a heart study by Dr. H. Van Meeuwen, which means he has been dopplered at 6, 9 and 12 weeks and at ~6 months old. We prefer that he continues to be part of the study, which means he would also be tested at 1 and 1,5 years old. He is also BAER tested and fully vaccinated.

If interested please contact us by sending an email.

Sad news

Yesterday we received some very sad news;
Eurydice of Laelaps, a.k.a. “Dewi”, had to be put to sleep due to a heart defect.
We are struck with sadness and extend our deepest sympathies to the owners.

We always try to do everything in our power to prevent such sickness by testing the breeding animals via Doppler. After Dewi showed signs of her illness, she was immediately tested by a specialist; Dr. H. van Meeuwen.

Dr. Van Meeuwen is currently running a study of heart defects in bullterriers that aims to develop a DNA test to determine hereditary heart defects in bullterriers. It is our hope that she will be able to use the materials she got from the examination to further her research. Because, for us, it would be the only solace we can get out of Dewi’s early demise.

Sweet dreams lovely girl.
